2011 Hot to Trot 5K Run & 2 Mile Fun Walk
The “Hot to Trot” 5K Run & 2 Mile Fun Walk starts and finishes at the Gold Dust Saloon, 217 S. Union, on Sunday, September 25, 2011. The course weaves through the Historic District, the Riverwalk and the Arkansas River trail. Entry fee is $25 if received by September 17, $28 if received September 18-24 and $30 if received on race day. Online registration is available at www.active.com until noon on September 23rd. The Kiddie K will be back this year and is a one mile race starting at 7:30am for children 11 years and under. All entrants of the 5K Fun Run and 2 Mile Walk will receive a 2011 Chile & Frijoles “Hot to Trot” t-shirt, plus breakfast at the Gold Dust Saloon immediately following the awards ceremony. All run & walk finishers are eligible for one of five $50 bills or merchandise donated by Historic District merchants. Drawing for these prizes will be held at the awards ceremony.
