Volunteers are needed to assist in the 3rd annual Mountain Park Butterfly Count. Enjoy a morning out in Nature and learn about butterflies. Mark Yaeger of the Arkansas Valley Audubon Society will offer instruction and guidance, so no experience is necessary. Bring close-focus binoculars and/or a digital camera if you have them (although they are not necessary). The collected data will be submitted to the North American Butterfly Association for its annual report, which highlights habitat changes and geographical distribution of butterfly species as a way to gauge the health of the environment.

Bring water and snacks, dress for being out in the sun!
