Operated by the Pueblo Locomotive and Rail Historical Society, the museum features vintage railroad equipment including the 2912, a former AT&SF 4-8-4-steam locomotive that the group is restoring to operating condition.

The museum has a collection of 26 airplanes including a B-29 bomber and a RB-37. The Memorial Museum traces the history of the B-24 and the activities of Allied units that once flew B-24s.
Rosemount Museum

The Rosemount is a 37-room mansion, originally home to the John Thatcher family. The home was built in 1893 and is still furnished with 85 percent of its original furnishings.

The old Lincoln Home, built in 1889, served as Colorado’s first Black orphanage and old-folks home beginning in 1904. Today, these red-brick structures connected by a passageway serve as a museum celebrating Black History.

Hose Company #3 Fire Museum

The building at this location is the only remaining firehouse in Pueblo that housed horse-drawn fire equipment and one of two remaining that has the famous brass pole still intact. The building was erected in 1881 and the last fire alarm was sounded on March 9, 1979.

Pueblo Levee Mural Project
The Arkansas River levee is the canvas for the Pueblo Levee Mural Project, a 3-mile-long piece of artwork that holds the Guinness Book of World Records’ distinction as being the world’s largest continuous painting. Not bad for some-thing that began 30 years ago as isolated graffiti.

Pueblo Whitewater Park Riverwalk
Covering a half-mile stretch of the Arkansas River, the Pueblo Whitewater Park has become a popular recreational outlet for local residents and visitors. The park, which cuts through downtown Pueblo, has eight water features. All produce hydraulic action – a key ingredient for kayaking. If the man-made rapids prove too formidable for beginners, the park is a great place to simply enjoy the lovely Arkansas River and its scenery.
